Lithuanian Folk Dance Groups in Seattle

Seattle is lucky to have four different groups for Lithuanian Folk Dancing. Here is some information on each of the groups with contact information. The dance groups perform at the Lithuanian Independence Day Celebration in February, the Scandinavian Midsommerfest in June, the Sokiu Svente, which happens every four years in July ((July 2008 is in Los Angeles), and sometimes at Folklife, the Seattle Library and the LA Lithuanian Days Festival.

Lietutis: Adult Folk Dance Group, ages 19 and older. Teacher is Zita Petkus. Contact Zita for more information.

Linas: Teen Folk Dance Group, high school aged children. Teacher is Sandy Kuprenas. Contact Sandy for more information.

Lankas: Childrens' Folk Dance Group, ages 7 - 13. Teacher is Neris Palunas. Contact Neris for more information.
