LANKAS Family Camp

The Lithuanian community in Seattle invites you to a fun-filled week sharing the richness of our heritage with our families.

Children from 1 to 18 enjoy spending the week with their family and friends, learning Lithuanian singing, dancing, crafts, cooking, language, history, geography, sports, and more.

Camp Theme: Birds "Paukščiai"

Location: Latvian Education Center, W 3381 Dayton Airport Road, Shelton, WA 98584. See MAP.

Camp Dates: Always on 3rd week of August: Monday, August 18th - Friday, August 22nd, 2007.

Maintenance Day: May 31, 10:00 to 6:00. You are welcome to stay over night in the dorms at the campground.

Please Arrive: Sunday, August 17th after 6:00 p.m.

Plan to Leave: Saturday, August 23rd by noon, after clean-up.

Sign-up Deadline: Please contact Nomeda by July 1st if you are coming. Make sure to sign up for a class or a task.

Camp Fees:

Before August 1st $75 flat fee/person For any number of days. Must be received by August 1st.
After August 1st $100 flat fee/person Note this firm deadline!
Friday Night Only $15/person
Clean-up Retainer Fee $75/family Refundable if you stay to clean. Send separate check for this amount. Every family pays this fee (even Friday night campers).

Reminders: The success of this experience depends on the active participation of each family in planning and running activities. Please contact the Camp Director by July 1st to help out with the planning of the classes. We require an accountable adult to be present for each child. Every family will be expected to help clean the campground on Saturday morning.
